Make note of this:  Proverbs 11:11 “By the blessing of the upright a city is exalted…..”

Wow!  The blessing of the righteous releases the power of God!  We are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, and what we bless becomes empowered.  The blessing of the righteous releases the power of God.  We carry the power of God within us, because we are houses of His Holy Spirit.  We have the mind of Christ to instruct us, so we are both powerful and effective!

Make note of this:  We can go forth with the power of God to change our cities,  our nations, and our world!

TREASURE

There is great TREASURE in the house of the righteous. (Pr.15:6)  We are God’s HOUSE.  (ICor.3:16)

By His free GIFT of GRACE, through His FAITH, we are LOVED,  SAVED,  RAISED UP,  SEATED with Him. (Eph.2:4-10)

FORGIVEN,  BROUGHT NEAR,  made HOLY,  & BLAMELESS. (Eph.2:13, 1:4)

ADOPTED,  HEIRS,  of God THROUGH CHRIST. (Eph.1:5,11)

RIGHTEOUS,  SANCTIFIED,  REDEEMED. (ICor.1:30)

ANOINTED,  SEALED,  SPIRIT FILLED. (2Cor.2:14)

FREE,  ALIVE,  made NEW. (Ro.8:2, 2Cor.5:17)

COMPLETE,  CONFIDENT,  CALLED. (Col.1:28, IJn.5:14,15, 2Tim.1:9,10)

ACKNOWLEDGED,  & EFFECTIVE. (Phile.1:6)

Beautiful Wisdom

Wisdom is the act of being wise, or the expression of good judgment.  Wisdom is beautiful.  The book of Proverbs says that the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.  According to I Corinthians chapter one, Jesus has become our wisdom from God.

Wisdom is talked about repeatedly in both old and new testaments.  In Deuteronomy chapter 34 it says that Joshua, the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom.  In I Kings 4, it says that God gave Solomon wisdom.  Because Solomon asked for wisdom, he also received riches, wealth, and honor.  Proverbs, the “Book of Wisdom”, gives wisdom a voice.  Wisdom cries out, “happy is the man who  finds wisdom.  “The Lord by wisdom founded the earth.”  “He stores up sound wisdom for the upright.”  “Wisdom is better than rubies, and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to her.”

Solomon, the probable writer of  Ecclesiastes, saw in his lifetime, both deep despair, and great heights of divine expression.  He said of wisdom;  “I saw that wisdom excelleth folly, as far as light excelleth darkness.” (Ecc.2:13)   Solomon discerned that wisdom literally eradicates all opposition, just as light eliminates darkness.

Wisdom is personal for the follower of Christ.  Because of Christ, God lavished on us every kind of wisdom, and understanding.  The intent of this was to make known the manifold wisdom of God to the principalities and powers in heavenly places. (Eph. 3:10)  Through wisdom we can demonstrate the redemptive power of God, affect lives, and release those bound by unseen powers.

With great love for God, the Holy Spirit,  and for God’s son Jesus, I believe that wisdom is the perfect administration of the love of God.  Wisdom through love gave a son, who died, rose, and made us one.  Wisdom is beautiful.

As He is so are we

As He is, so are we.  The apostle Paul, in chapter one of Ephesians made note of the fact that Christians, collectively, are called to represent the fullness of Christ on the earth.  Verse twenty-two says, “And God placed all things under his feet, and appointed him to be head over everything, for THE CHURCH, WHICH IS HIS BODY, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way. Filling everything in every way infers a uniqueness.  We each within ourselves hold, and can represent different aspects of Christ.  However, for us to represent him accurately, we must each flow within the context of how he has made us, unique, and special in every way.

We are fearfully and wonderfully made, each designed for unique purposes, purposes which contribute to the growth and development of all.  Ephesians 4:16 says, “From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each does its work.  So, lets each do our work today, because, AS HE IS, SO ARE WE!

Perfect in Holiness

In 2Cor.7 Paul reveals his heart, and he says this.  “Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, PERFECTING HOLINESS IN THE FEAR OF GOD.”  Holiness is an outward reflection of the work God has done in our spirits.  It is not merely good works done to impress or demonstrate our piety, but rather the result of our gratitude toward God and his limitless, unfailing love.  This scripture infers that our holiness is impacted directly by our reverence toward God.

There is a simple law found in nature, a law of sowing and reaping.  A farmer sows seed in his field, and also reaps what he sows.  This is true in the spirit realm just as it is, in the natural.  As we honor God, love and thank him for what he has done for us through Jesus, there is a divine exchange that occurs, much like the law of sowing and reaping.  We thank God for what he has done, love and worship him.  As we do this, we begin to reap the benefit of His Spirit in our lives.  Holiness is perfected in our lives as we (fear) reverence, and honor God for what he has done for us.

One New Man

“For until the law, sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law.” Romans 5:13 Jesus fulfilled all the requirements of the law, took our punishment for us, so that in Him we are holy and blameless, “One New Man”

Throughout human history one thing has both united and divided us; the law. Every people, culture, race, and religion has its laws. People cannot live in peace without them, yet none can fulfill all of them. History has proven this.

God has always wanted human beings to live together in peace. No man however, has been able to fulfill all the requirements of the law. This is why God, who is rich in mercy, sent His Son to fulfill the law, to become our Prince of Peace. He predestined us all to be adopted as His sons through Jesus (Eph.1:5).

When God sees the world, He sees people He loves so much that He willingly sent Jesus to die for them. We, all people, all races, have been predestined to be adopted as God’s sons. Ephesians chapter two says, “But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ. For He himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility by abolishing in His flesh the law with its commandments and regulations. His purpose was to create in Himself, “ONE NEW MAN’ out of the two, thus making peace, and in this ONE BODY to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which He put to death their hostility. He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. For through Him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.”

So you see, Jesus both abolished and fulfilled the law in order that in Him all mankind can live in peace, free from sin, “one new man”, in Him. For in Him, through Him, and to Him all things exist. Jesus is not a way to God. He is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Him. God so loved the world that He sent Jesus. “In Him”, we are holy, and blameless, “ONE NEW MAN.”

DRAWN

Feeling drawn?  Well, feelings or not, we’re all being drawn.  Jesus said, in reference to the significance of his death on the cross, (John 12:32) “If I be lifted up from the earth, I will draw all men to me.”  God loves you, he loves me!  Our savior, redeemer, advocate, intercessor, healer, righteous king, and Father has drawn us to himself.  God cannot get any closer to us, but we can get closer to him.  Jesus lived, died, and was brought back to life, so that we could be drawn back to our Father.

God is a righteous king.  He loves justice.  We couldn’t trust him if he didn’t love justice.  Our unrighteousness was judged in the body of Jesus.  Because of this incomprehensible act of love,  we now stand before God, holy, complete, and blameless.

Isn’t it time that you receive the fulness of his love for you?  Submit yourself to God right now.  Resist the devil, and he will flee.  Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.  He is as close as your next breath.  Jesus is referred to as the “Word of God”.  “The word is near you, even in your mouth and in your heart; that is the word of faith, which we preach.”  (Ro.10:8-10)  If you confess that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

God’s words are spirit and they are life.  (John 6:63)  When you receive his word, you are receiving his spirit.  Welcome to life in Christ Jesus!  You have just received treasure, which is beyond description!  You are greatly loved by God.  You have been drawn by his unfailing love.

MADE NEW

“Be made new in the attitude of your minds, and put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.” (Eph.4:23)  Change your mind, is the meaning of the word repentance, according to the Greek dictionary.  Interesting, we have no problem changing our dirty clothes, washing them, even getting new if need be, but repentance which is a similar act is very difficult for most.  Perhaps, and most likely it is human pride which makes this difficult.  So even though most of us would never walk around in smelly, dirty clothes, a great many don’t mind walking around in sin and self-righteousness.  How sad, since God has provided for us his own robe of righteousness to wear, king and priestly garments.  We have royal garments to wear, yet many of us continue to wear our old sin nature.

We need repentance, change of mind.  Then transformation begins.  We are transformed by the renewing of our minds, changed from one degree of glory to another, by His Spirit.  From my heart I pray this, God grant us the spirit of repentance.  By your Holy Spirit cause us to think as you think, to speak and act as you would.

We change our clothes daily, so why not change our minds daily.  Christians, we have the mind of Christ.  Let’s be made new in the attitude of our minds, change, repent.
